Lawrenceburg, In.— An Aurora man has been arrested on charges of dealing and possessing methamphetamine.Robert Lockwood, 34 of Aurora is charged with one count of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, a Level 3 Felony; Possession of Methamphetamine at least 5 grams but less than 10 grams, a Level 5 Felony and Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Level 4 Felony.According to Court documents, two police officers were working with a confidential informant and conducted a controlled buy of methamphetamine from Lockwood on March 12, 2019.Then, on March 15, 2019, Aurora Police Officers noticed Lockwood driving a vehicle on US 50 and recognized him from previous encounters. Officers believed that Lockwood’s driving privileges were suspended, which was confirmed through dispatch. A traffic stop was made and a subsequent search of his vehicle, officers located a glass pipe in plain view on the front passenger seat, a sunglasses case containing another glass pipe with a white residue and burn marks on it, a small blue bag containing 2 small digital scales, unused baggies and one baggie containing a crystal-like substance which officers recognized as methamphetamine.Lockwood was arrested and taken to the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center.
